My name is Katie, I'm graduating spring '24 with my Masters in Philosophy, and I start my PhD in the fall. My CV is available, but be warned that I am 23 and thus have done very little with my meager existence thus far.
My research areas include aesthetics of horrific/grotesque/disturbing art, the history of 19th + 20th century continental philosophy (particularly history of ideas + critical theory), and the metaphilosophy of intuition and its use in academic inquiry.1 I also like Shakespearean tragedies, game design (especially horror!), pedagogical theory, Disco Elysium, (some) sociological theory (I've just begun to read Goffman, but I've already read Butler's Gender Trouble, so dramaturgical theory is very interesting to me), and rhetoric.
